Zeke Hersh

Zeke moved to Summit County Colorado in 1992 as an aspiring professional snowboarder. Soon after Zeke found himself working in the fly fishing industry as a fly fishing guide. Then in 1997 Zeke founded Blue River Anglers fly shop and guide service in Breckenridge, CO.
Water conservation became an important issue to Zeke in 2002, after seeing the Blue River run dry through Breckenridge. In 2011, Zeke started working with the nonprofit, Protect the Flows and made a trip to the no longer Colorado River delta on the Sea of Cortez. Then in 2012 representing Protect the Flows, Zeke and other representatives went to Washington to raise awareness on water conservation, water rights, water banking and the endangered Colorado River.
In 2014 Zeke sold Blue River Anglers to pursue other opportunities as a firefighter, but soon found that fly fishing, rivers, water, water conservation and the outdoors is where his passions lie.
Then acting as Trouts Fly FIshing’s head guide in the summers in Colorado and pursuing a life long goal of obtaining a USCG captain’s license and guiding in Florida in the winter months. Zeke’s passion for fly fishing, rivers, water, wildlife, and the outdoors grew an even larger part of his life.
Now acting as Trouts Fly Fishing’s Outfitting Manager brings Zeke to a leadership position, working with management, industry organizations, permitting organizations, nonprofits and industry professionals. Focusing on bringing awareness to conservation, water conservation and wildlife conservation while growing his business.
